Dear all Color Matters users,

 

We are aware of all the bugs the app has, and we apologize for all the inconvenience it has caused you.
We tried many solutions and finally concluded that in order to solve all of these issues, we had to redesign the whole app from scratch. 
Yes, from scratch.
We had to create a new software architecture from the ground up. 
This includes a new way the app handles the coloring process, the database structure, and all the interactions between the app and the server/cloud.
 
Therefore, using this new system, we believe and hope that it won't have the same bugs as it was in the previous version (before version 2.0.1):
- No more losing work in progress because it will be saved on every tap.
- No more crashing while coloring (hopefully…).
- No more missing verification emails.
 
We hope that this could give you a pleasant and relaxing coloring experience.
 

But there is a trade-off… 
 

Since this is a new system, if you have any "work in progress" (i.e: the artwork you have started to color but not yet published to the Gallery) it cannot get carried over to the new version. 
Therefore all work in progress at the point of the upgrade will be lost.
So before upgrading to the next version, you may want to finish all your work in progress (i.e: publish to the Gallery or share in your favorite social network app) to prevent from losing them. We may advise you to turn off the app auto-update in your device's settings so you can have control of when you want to upgrade. Then you could turn auto-update on again afterward.
 
We truly apologize for this inconvenience and we hope no one loses their work in progress unwillingly.
 
This was truly a tough decision to make because we know how hard you worked for a beautifully colored artwork.
We have worked hard and looked high and low to find other solutions to prevent this. Moreover, we also didn't want to recreate the whole app in the beginning. 
Finally, we discovered that it was inevitable. We had to make this hard decision for the good of all user experience moving forward. 
 
For this reason and as a token of our apology, all users that signed up or bought a membership with us prior to this change will get a special treat from us: 

ALL coloring artworks that were published in the previous version of the app (prior to version 2.0.1) are UNLOCKED for you. That is about 2,700+ images unlocked for you.
 
But there is another thing…
 

The new system requires that we convert every single image into a new format with several adjustments. 
We have to do it one by one.

This will take quite some time for us to work on each image and upload it to the new server.

We are truly thankful to the community for your kind patience during this time. We promise to try our best to finish all the image conversions within the next couple of months (around January 2021).
 

Meanwhile, we will upload new images plus the existing images as often as we can.  
Moreover, there are some changes in the membership plan which you can read here.
